This is a good DVD for a pour beginner. I new nothing about music. i learnt heeps from the web, which is all free. I bought the cheapest violin on the market for $ 20.00. i was very unhappy about the sounds. I then read many articals on how to get...

the best tones. after I did all my research, i bought a set of strings for $55.00 and that made a big difference. I then bought this DVD which gave me the stepping stones. The video illustrations are very good for a beginner. The only negative I have is the document which came with the DVD was not illustrative enough. This is a minor issue.
