Here's a fun one-piano, four-hands duet arrangement of Charles A. Zimmermann's popular patriotic march for the Navy. Both PRIMO and SECONDO carry the melody at times making this piece equally challenging for both players while adding interest for the listeners. The first verse is straight-forward with the PRIMO carrying the melody and the SECONDO adding a steady chord rhythm. The bridge adds a little more challenge and transitions to a second run through the theme. This second time through incorporates more 16th notes in both parts adding a counter harmony and rhythm. This section of the song may require a little extra practice to keep the tempo up and coordinate the rhythms, but the perfected sound is well worth the effort.

This arrangement is an excellent choice for recitals or performances to encourage the patriotic spirit around national holidays or any time of year to pay tribute to veterans and other heroes of American history. Retirement center residents especially enjoy hearing these beloved patriotic songs.
