we sang it in a competition and recieved first place. I have seen this piece be performed in the SATB form, the TTBB form, and the SSAA form, amazing performance no matter what form. This piece is beautiful, and Z. Randall Stroope outdone himself.

8th grade year, I was a member of the Alabama Middle School Mixed All-State Choir, under the direction of Wisconsin Composer/Conductor, Dan Krunnfusz. I stayed for the entire festival and heard all 7 choirs including the two outstanding choral students that year in 2006. The choir that performed this stunning piece was the Alabama High School SATB Choir, under the direction of Connecticut Composer/Conductor, Dr. Peter Bagley. When they sung this song, me and my choral director were in tears!! This is a very moving piece, I give Dr. Randall Stroope one million thumbs up on this piece!

I'm a former member of the Meistersingers, the choir that commissioned this work. I heard that choir sing it this year under Dr. Stroope's direction. It's a truly beautiful and moving piece, and I am exited to listen to different choirs record it for years to come...
