    It is pretty much what I expected, which is a good thing. Each of the pieces in the book are played on piano with accompaniment so that you can hear what the piece sounds like before or during practice. The accompaniment can be turned off because it's on a...

    separate channel (the piano is on one speaker, and the accompaniment is on the other speaker), although I found a couple of tracks on the CD where this wasn't the case. Also, a lot of CD players don't seem to allow you to control Left/Right balance these days, which may be a problem if you want to take advantage of this feature.

    This is not really a practice CD since there is only one speed. It's frustrating for beginning students to listen to such a fast speed.

    This is an excellent supplement for older beginners as many of them enjoy hearing the song before they have to practice. I teach Senior Citizens, and they thoroughly enjoy having this advantage.
