Mozart wrote this Serenade for wind ensemble. Adagio is the 3rd movement, which features the oboe, clarinet, and basset horn as alternating soloists throughout the movement.

The beginning of this movement was played in the movie, Amadeus, which is where I heard it for the first time. After years of having this on my "to arrange"list, I can finally tick it off.

This arrangement for flute choir has the melody parts in Flutes 1, 2 & 3. Whether your choir would like to consider these parts as solo parts is completely up to you. The accompaniment consists of Flute 4, Alto 1 & 2, Bass, and Contrabass. If your choir does not have a contrabass, you can substitute another bass for the contrabass part. There is also an optional cello part to help bring out the bass line. The cello part can be played by any C instrument in the bass clef range, such as a bassoon, euphonium, or keyboard.

This would be a great piece for any occasion.
