Adagio for Strings is a work by Samuel Barber, arguably his best known, arranged for string orchestra from the second movement of his String Quartet, Op. 11.

Barber finished the arrangement in 1936, the same year that he wrote the quartet. Its reception was generally positive, with Alexander J. Morin writing that Adagio for Strings is "full of pathos and cathartic passion" and that it "rarely leaves a dry eye.

This arrangement for brass quartet allows to enjoy this beauty by brass players. This excerpt respects the integrity of the main music motive.

I had to edit this to make it correct-Violin 1, Measure 3, the last 3 notes are in correct (should be c, d flat, and e flat). In the viola part, Measure 18, last note is in correct (should be a c).The trio version has these identical issues...

.These measures were easy to correct, and this is a good alternative to the full version.
