Being famililar with Hope Lee's cross-cultural musical language I commissioned her to write this piece and have enjoyed performing it many times. It evolves naturally from "being" to "growth" to "seeking" to "transformation" all in one continuous movement representing the ideas of reality and fantasy. It is well...

written for the piano and the "seeking" section is particularly interesting in its multi-layered textures using numerous trills and fast-repeated notes.
