Composed by Colin Kirkpatrick. A Cappella,Christian,Easter,Praise & Worship,Sacred. Octavo. 12 pages. Colin Kirkpatrick Publications #4408400. Published by Colin Kirkpatrick Publications (A0.522229).

John Mason Neale, the writer of the text is best known for the hymns Good Christian Men, Rejoice, the carol Good King Wenceslas and the advent hymn O come, O come, Emmanuel. This attractive light SSA arrangement uses divisi sopranos at one point and also includes an a cappella section. It’s a tuneful arrangement, easy on the ear and not especially difficult. Other SSA titles in this series of three Easter canticles are “My Song is Love Unknown” (Text by Samuel Crossman 1624-1683) and “Alone Thy goes forth, O Lord (Text by Peter Abelard 1079-1142)”. In the audio sample, soprano 1 is played by the flute, soprano 2 by the oboe and alto by the clarinet.
