    Many students learn best when focusing on one aspect at a time. This is a great book for focusing on rhythm. Several students recently came to me who had had Suzuki training. Working in "A Rhythm a Day" by Hudadoff helped their transition to music reading. I cannot find the...

    Hudadoff, so I got some copies of the Witt, which is almost the same thing. The book contains major and minor scales with a different (but similar) rhythm in each measure. The instructional design is outstanding, covering various note values and meters in logical sequence. The book will also work for heterogeneous string classes, or for private lessons on wind instruments where the range is as wide as a violin or cello.
