Opera and Orthodox chants- this combination in one release is indicative of the creative interests of the great Bulgarian bass Nicola Ghiuselev (1936-2014). We admire the rare talent of the singer to get "immersed" in the specific style of the genre and to create an overall artistic impact. He has the ability to bring to perfection every work, every character, and manages to get fully blended with the characteristics of a given period. Ghiuselev's achievements were legendary on the stage of Sofia Opera and at many prestigious opera theaters, under the baton of Bulgarian and world renowned conductors. There were no artistic limits before him. His repertoire contained all the classical bass parts, as well as song by contemporary composers. He partnered with other great opera talents of the twentieth century: Boris Christoff, Nicolai Chiaurov, Gena Dimitrova, and many more.
