A Festive Fa La La

By Mary Lynn Lightfoot

3-part mixed choir, finger cymbals, piano
Composed by Mary Lynn Lightfoot. Secular Christmas. Octavo. Heritage Music Press #15/2477H. Published by Heritage Music Press (LO.15-2477H).

Item Number: LO.15-2477H

The rhythmic energy and hip groove of this creative-programming original absolutely sizzle with fun and festive flair! The modal flavor of the opening chorus features slight hints of the familiar "Fa la la" strains from "Deck the Hall." A delightful middle section in major mode contrasts with the minor feel, and the concluding chorus culminates with a resoundingly joyful statement of the concluding phrases of "Deck the Hall"--with an unusual twist, of course!

My school sang this song for our Christmas Concert. It was really fun!! It sounded great with the whole choir. The Saprano part is really cool and when you add the Altos and Baritone it sounds great!! I reccomend it!
