Hang on to the exciting sounds and great speed of Ride the Wind as you span the keyboard! Students will enjoy playing the rapid sixteenth notes of the cross-hand arpeggios, as the wind blows through the octaves. Right-hand chord inversions map harmonies in the key of A minor. Legato pedaling captures the overall sweeping effects. A piece that well illustrates Melody Bober's gift for turning a simple etude-like theme into a recital gem!

This is a beautiful piece that requires a lot of dynamic control and speed. I don't know why it is marked intermediate. In California, this is CM level 6 (out of 10 levels). It should be late intermediate level - other music festivals rate this the same difficulty level as Brown's Toccatina. The reviewers who rated this as for beginner may not be playing up to speed at performance standard. This piece should be performed in less than 1 minute.

A do-able recital piece for Level 3 that sounds impressive.
