Rialto Ripples - One Piano, Four Hands by George Gershwin Small Ensemble - Sheet Music

By George Gershwin

Rialto Ripples is George Gershwin's first published instrumental and his only piano rag. It has all the hallmarks of Gershwin's piano style merging ragtime with a piano novelty number. It's fun and it's a toe-tapper. Jim Lyke's upbeat arrangement for one piano, four hands is a National Federation title. A great addition to recital and encore lists!

Fun fast piece

This is a fun duet piece, not too challenging except for playing it at a quick tempo.

Fun for 4 hands

I good four hand interpretation which I am enjoying learning to play with my sister in law. The difficulty assessment on the cover of Late Intermediate seems accurate. As an early intermediate I am finding it a bit tricky in places but not impossible. Getting it up to a good racy ragtime speed will be a challenge however!
