I am not a big fan of band and I wish the answers were in the back so I knew if I was getting them right but, I have to say, I think that was my favourite part about band this year

We use the entire 6 workbook series at our school. I went through the 6 workbooks and made an answer key allowing for student variations on some projects in the books. Highly recommend!

I use the first two books in this series for my voice students who do not already have a musical background. It's simple and is taught in very small units, so the student doesn't get overwhelmed. Note/rest values, time signatures, key signatures, sharps/flats/naturals, dotted rhythms. Book 2 builds on these and goes more into depth on the circle of keys, etc. Book 3 is more on composition, so I don't use that one. A good intro to basic music reading skills.

I am a voice teacher and use this book with students who want some theory work.Advantages are that students can work on their own; there is plenty of review within the exercises; all the information they need is contained within the lessons; I don't have to take a lot of lesson time to go over their work. I keep the whole series on hand and encourage students to work at their own pace. Highly recommended.

I have all my students go through this series. It's methodical, starts VERY basic, covers all the bases, but takes a student all the way up to college level theory. It's also cheap, which the parents like.
