The text is clean and clear. Easy to read and for development of necessary skill sets. If these are "selected" studies, I wonder what the ones not selected are like.

i just started taking fr. horn lessons and my teacher recommended this book...it's a real good book for if you are completely serious about learning to play better. this will really improve your playing if you stick with it, which i find hard because i don't like...

doing kind of warm-ups all the time:)this book starts at about the beginner level and goes to advanced, so it's a good book for any ability level to play out of.

I have been using studies from this book and they have greatly improved my sound, tone quality, my articulation, and dynamics. The only problem I have with this book is the absence of places to breath. These exercises are very challenging and require a lot of air, but the composition...

does not really account for that. Even my private lesson teacher who has a doctorate in the Horn sees this as a problem. Other than that minor issue, this book is a must-have for the serious Horn player looking to be great.

This is a basic for all aspiring horn players.

I've only just begun fighting my way through this book, and look forward to the battle every day! This amazing collection of studies covers nearly every aspect of playing, including bass clef, intervals, scales, tonguing, melody, and more. Any serious horn player must have this in their library!
