Edizioni Curci's 1949 publication of Schnabel is well done and should be preferred over reprints. It seems to be a complete re-engraving of the 1935 edition by Simon and Schuster. of the many misprints in the fingerings (and elsewhere) are corrected. Some fingerings and comments have been revised. Suggested octave doublings in the bass have been removed. Schnabel had notably unconventional fingerings, which were meant to be in service of his interpretations.
