Erich Korngold is best known for his motion picture music scores, although he also composed in more serious styles as well. His suite (1920) from Much Ado About Nothing was taken from incidental music he provided for a production of Shakespeare's play. This version for flute and piano by John Gibson was taken from the composer's setting for violin and piano in the same year. It includes three movements: 1) Dogberry and Verges - March of the Watch (a march parody), 2) Garden Scene (a very beautiful and romantic setting), and 3) Masquerade - Hornpipe (simply fine, happy music).
