very nice selection of pieces and fine accompaniments

The old 24 Italian songs or newer edition 28 Italian songs (more scholarly with translations and historical descriptions) are interchangeable. This 26 Song edition has some different edits which make it impossible to use interchangeably with the others. During covid on Zoom, many songs are unusable for my students. Check with your teacher before buying this book! (I'm a voice teacher with 20 years experience)

This is an excellent collection of Italian Arias with IPA markings for each Aria, In addition, each aria has the Idiomatic translations as well as some back ground material.

I really like this book because of how well it is written and arranged. I love how each song has background information, correct pronunciations, and English translations. The only thing I wish it had was a CD that played the song as well as the accompaniment.
