    The arrangements in this collection are tasteful, short, and not too difficult. No really fast tempos, but some have many large chords in which the player must bring out one voice and others have the left hand moving from below to above the right hand melody line. Great for personal...

    entertainment and, in my case, sight reading practice. Also good for filling out recital programs or to entertain guests at a house party - the arrangements are not over-simplified and sound impressive when played well.

    These pieces of music have been beautifully transcribed - I would thoroughly recommend this book. Would suit more advanced pianists in my opinion.

  • February 28, 2009 Contains the Best 18th Variation

    This book contains the best transcription of the 18th Variation On a Theme of Paganini! Unlike Hermene Eichorn's arrangement, the one contained in this book is in the original key and it is also harder (as it is closer to the original work of Rachmaninov). Highly recommended!!
