Christ the Lord is Risen Today - voice/guitar/flute/violin Small Ensemble - Digital Sheet Music
This version of Christ the Lord is Risen Today has been dropped to the key of A to make it easily singable by a modern congregation. Chords are included for guitarists that are considerably simplified to ease the hymn's original frequent changes - the use of all the easiest chords means that even beginner guitarists can participate. The flute and violin parts are easy to read with simple note values, though the range makes the third verse more challenging. This is easily remedied if needs be by asking the performers to play the part from the first or second verse again. Since the vocal melody is printed alongside the harmony parts, the voices can easily be replaced by another C instrument to create an instrumental arrangement of the song. As most congregations don't sing all the verses of hymns anymore, this version presents the first three verses only. If the remaining three verses are required, the musicians can return to the beginning and play through the entire score again.
