SONG FROM MASH - FLUTE and GUITAR DUETFor Classical or Acoustic Guitar - sometimes it's erroneously listed here as Electric Guitar.This charming little piece is the theme to the compelling TV series M*A*S*H.Derek Hasted writes "This piece is a lovely piece for a concert - many of the audience will know the music and my arrangement has been crafted to make an accessible arrangement that will hold together well. It is in the same key as the original.The original song is much longer than the TV theme, so it's entirely up to you how many repeats to play. In the original song, the alliteration in the lyrics means that each verse has a slightly different rhythm, and here you have a choice - play what's on the page or 'bend' the rhythm in the flute part a little to make the piece less repetitive.The guitar part requires the 6th string to be tuned down to D and a Capo fitted on fret two. There are a couple of chords that require a quick visit to the fifth position (relative to the Capo), but there are lots of open strings throughout the piece that help improve the sustain and flow.I hope you enjoy this piece!"I have also published a version for 2 guitars, in a different key.
