Frankenstein, the hit instrumental tune by the Edgar Winter Group, is set to a saxophone choir of 2 sopranos, 4 altos, 2 tenors, and baritone, with an optional bass saxophone included. Frankenstein hit #1 on Billboard in May 1973 but was soon knocked out by Paul McCartney's My Love. The title was coined by Edgar Winter's drummer, Chuck Ruff, saying that it was inspired in part by the tune's "monster-like, lumbering beat".

There is enough here to keep everybody in the ensemble challenged and the audience interested.
