Level 1 – Lesson Book – 2nd Edition Piano Adventures® by Randall Faber Piano Method - Sheet Music
By Nancy FaberThe 2nd Edition Level 1 Lesson Book introduces all the notes of the grand staff, elementary chord playing, and the concept of tonic and dominant notes. Students play in varied positions, reinforcing reading skills and recognizing intervals through the 5th. Musicianship is built with the introduction of legato and staccato touches. This level continues the interval orientation to reading across the full range of the Grand Staff. The 5-finger approach is presented here in a fresh, musically appealing way.

I teach children ranging from age 5-13. They love the Piano adventures. Level 1 really reinforces technique and theory. My kids enjoy the interactive sight reading and theory games.

I am a piano teacher for many years. All the books in Piano Adventures series are very popular with my students in all levels. Another teacher highly recommended the series that is how I started using these books. Even a student that is sometimes difficult to please will find the Piano Adventures series enjoyable. The way the notes appear on the page are very well spaced. All my students including adults feel a sense of accomplishment when they are ready to move to the next level. Very well done.

I teach the Piano Adventures series to primary school students, and it's always exciting when we get to this Level 1 book. The pieces are melodious and fun. As in the primer books, there are fabulous duets for the teacher to play along with the student.

This book--and the entire Fabar series--is engaging and motivating for students while providing ample practice of technic. A wonderful way to meld theory with practice.

These are perfect for beginners to teach them everything with real notes on the staff not letters.

Enjoyed the method books I got from SheetMusic, but they took way too long to ship my materials. 3-5 business days was over a week.

I have been using this series of books for teaching for years now and still don't get tired of the pieces. I love that it is developmentally sound. There is never a jump from one piece to the next. The second edition has some great additions. It has lots of American folk songs which are lovely (except that my students are Australian and don't always know them - but now they do!)

I have no idea what the book is like. I ordered nearly 3 weeks ago and the book still hasn't arrived. I am not sure why sheetmusicplus state on their website that the book leaves the warehouse in 24 hours if if takes 3 weeks to arrive. I have not had responses to my emails from Sheetmusicplus. Try to find a different online retailer if you want swift delivery

I LOVE this series! And my students do too! The pieces are cute and fun, and I love how many of the songs have subject matter that really appeal to boys - dragons, spiders etc. as well as the pretty songs for the girls. I always use the performance and theory books with the lesson book, and the students get a good grasp on sight reading in no time.
