Composer, Julia Muench currently resides in New Jersey teaching piano at The Monmouth Conservatory of Music, now part of Count Basie Theatre. Her chamber piece, Nautilus Dances, won the Audience Favorite Award at the Subtropics Music Festival in Miami Beach, 2013. The piano arrangement was included as part of the Utopia Exhibit from Germany as a piano performance, at the Missouri History Museum in 2015, where she gave a performance of Nautilus Dances.
Her live performances and compositions can also be found on her youtube channel. Julia holds her BMA and MMA in Piano Performance from the University of Miami. She has also worked with aspiring ballet dancers for the past 10 years, at the Academy of Dance Arts, connecting music and dance through rhythm, and inspiring more compositions. Julia and her musical partner Ken Forrest, have together formed their own singing duo, The Wolvertons performing originals and arrangements of standards.
