This march is enjoyable, melodic, fun to listen to and to perform making it a great outdoor concert selection with a bit of history to enlighten the audience.  As a young man Alton Adams, a native of the Virgin Islands, established "Adam’s Juvenile band" which became renowned.  The entire band was inducted into the US Navy in 1917 and he became the first black Navy Bandmaster.  He composed this march for the Governor and it was performed by the likes of the great bands of Sousa and Goldman.  Excellent for outdoors concerts. Score sold separately.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters.
