For easy bass clarinet duet Celebrate Christmas with a duet for your younger bass clarinet players. Both players get a chance to shine with the melody. The piece begins with a short introduction, then the first bass clarinet plays the U.S. traditional "Mueller" melody with the second bass clarinet providing accompaniment. There is a brief transition in measure 21, then the second bass clarinet takes over the Mueller melody. The first bass clarinet switches to an accompaniment role, but in measure 27 begins playing the "Cradle Song," which is a version often heard in England. Both voices take turns with their respective melodies and accompaniments, bringing both melodies together from measure 43 to the end.
