Tears in Heaven was written by Eric Clapton and Will Jennings for the 1991 film Rush. The song has a sombre history: it was written about the loss of Clapton's 4 year old son. The sadness comes through in the music, and has contributed to the songs success. Tears in Heaven has sold more than 2.8 million copies in the United States alone, making it one of the highest selling songs ever.
This Sheet Music Boss arrangement by Andrew Wrangell is approximately grade 2 level. It would be an excellent choice of piece for a concert! Give it to a student as a great early intermediate level piece.
