The Level 1B is a continuation of the Level 1A , so the pages are numbered accordingly. For graduates of Level 1A, Level 1B advances students into playing both hands simultaneously and playing intervals in both hands. Students learn bass clef notes G and F, rests, dotted quarter note rhythms, and dynamics while reviewing all of the notes, rhythms, and concepts learned in Level 1A. Level 1B includes 126 pages, 29 compositions, three 5-piano ensembles (four student parts plus a teacher's part), corresponding theory fun sheets, and some challenging rhythm taps which include dotted quarter/eighth note rhythms to ensure that your students are really learning to count accurately. The students must pass the "Finish Line" quiz at the end of the book before advancing to Level 2. The three five piano ensembles included in this Level 1B book and written specifically for Level 1B students are Western Skies, Papa Leopold's Minuet, and The Fruit Vendor.
