Composed by Bliss-Stafford. Arranged by Gene Roberson. 20th Century,Christian,Sacred. Octavo. 13 pages. Gene Roberson #15921. Published by Gene Roberson (A0.848389).

It is Well With My Soul is perhaps one of the greatest hymns of all time. The story of how this song was written is well known and worth knowing. The hymn uses the normal verse and chorus format, however the novel style the song writer used was a very soft and different refrain, ending with a full affirmation of the main them of the song. This arrangement uses beautiful piano styles to accompany this lovely anthem. Verses are divided between male and female choral divisions as well as interesting key changes. The climax of the song found in verse four moves into a repeated fanfare in the choral parts, ending with a soft end. If you love this hymn, this is a must for your choral library. Dedicated to Dr. William Lock.
