Henry Fillmore wrote Headway March in 1920, under the pseudonym Harold Bennett, and it was later published in No. 3 of the famous Bennett Band Books. These little books were the delight of millions of fledgling musicians and their teachers. Fillmore's gift to American music education! This is a tribute to Fillmore, and to Dr. Nicholas Contorno, who passed away this year.
