Composed by Fred Onovwerosuoke. African,Contemporary,Jazz,Standards. Score. 3 pages. African Music Publishers #439657. Published by African Music Publishers (A0.947321).

"Esato" is based on an Igbo (Nigeria) whimsical lament. It takes after ancient Igbo poetry on wishes, daydreams and unfulfilled desires. How rich must a man be to charm his love and win his heart’s desire? It alludes to ripe fruits ready for harvest, but only metaphorically. Of the eight village beauties (eligible young ladies), none is easily accessible, thus a man must find the means to win love or keep daydreaming.
