We've all herd this song before. I recommend the great arrangement, but it's not easy piano. It'll give the intermediate player a run for the money.

I'm a piano teacher. I regularly have students who want to learn this song, and this version correlates nicely with Piano Adventures Level 3B - which ends with the Canon (in C). This is harder & longer than that version, so it presents a challenge, but it's not out of reach. It has fingering marked, which is GREAT for students, plus the chords labeled. And it sounds pretty; some Canon versions just aren't pretty on piano. I can basically sight-read this song, but the addition of the chords gives me options to fill in more if I want.

I taught myself how to play when I was 12 and played piano until I moved out of the house at age 18. Now, I acquired the piano I learned on after 39 years. I am re-learning to play again. It's like riding a bike - it's all coming back to me. This piece is easy, yet beautiful and well composed for the beginner and a joy to play!

Great arrangement.Playable by a beginner/intermediate pianist. I am an adult horn player, relearning piano, which I quit at age 10. I can almost play it, after some practice. My teacher sight read it for me with feeling and it was beautiful. Of course she is an advanced pianist.

The music arrived quite rapidly and was of high quality printing on good, heavy card stock. I will be ordering from this vendor whenever I need sheet music.

If you have an early-intermediate student who wants to play a recognizable tune (and not necessarily an original keyboard piece), I recommend this attractive, sensitive, appropriate arrangement. It IS slightly abridged, but who's counting iterations except the purists among us (bless our hearts!). Please note that this is not a piece for rank beginners, due to the changing hand position, shifting harmonies and increasingly complicated rhythmic patterns, but it is possibly a goal piece for motivated and ambitious late-elementary students to learn S L O W L Y. Intermediate students will obviously learn this arrangement more quickly. Enjoy!

TheCanon in D - Easy Piano is not as easy as I thought it would be. I substitute for my church occassionaly, but do not feel comfortable playing this piece. Perhaps after a lot of practice I will be able to use it as a Prelude or Postlude. It is a great piece of music, but not so easy for me.
