This popular theme (from the Overture to the opera William Tell) has been used for several films, including "A Clockwork Orange" and "Brassed Off". It’s "galloping" character made it perfectly suited for use in the "Lone Ranger" television series. This arrangement is for Late Elementary Level Woodwind and/or Brass Ensemble with Optional Percussion. The instrumentation is flexible, allowing for various combinations of instruments from a trio to a concert band, including Clarinet Trio/Ensemble, Saxophone Trio/Ensemble and Brass Trio. The Solo at the beginning is an opportunity to feature a Part 1 player who is comfortable with higher notes (i.e. high F for Clarinet and Trumpet and high C for Alto Sax). The melody is shared between Part 1 and Part 2. Beginner Alto Sax players could also be included in an ensemble by using the Baritone Sax part, as the range of this part is only 5 notes (G A B C and D). Likewise, beginner Trumpet players could use the Bass Clarinet part, as this also has a range of only 5 notes (C D E F and G). The score is shown in concert pitch. Octave displacement occurs in some parts. Part 1 requires Clarinet players to be confident with crossing the break. Part 2 and Part 3 are kept below the break for the Clarinet and/or Bass Clarinet players. Este arreglo es para ejecutantes de Nivel Elemental Tardío en conjuntos de vientos y/o metales con percusión opcional. La instrumentacion es flexible, lo cual permite combinaciones de instrumentos : de trio a banda de concierto, incluyendo trios/conjuntos de clarinete, de saxofón o trio de metales. El solo del principio es una oportunidad para destacar un ejecutante de Parte I que se sienta cómodo tocando notas altas (por ejemplo F alta para clarinete y trompeta y una C alta para alto saxofón. La melodia se comparte entre las partes 1 y 2. Los que tocan en Nivel Principiante de saxofones alto pueden ser incluidos en un conjunto usando la parte de saxofones baritono ya que este tiene un rango de solo 5 notas ( G, A, B, C y D).
