The carol is in 3 verses, each with a distinctive message: a. Verse 1. Is about the "gifts, lights and mistletoe" -- these are lovely, but not the "Reason for the Season". b. Verse 2. Is about helping the poor, sad, or needy at the Season. "That what you do for the least of these, it will the heart of the Father please". c. Verse 3. Is very timely. It is about children born today into cultures which teach them, from an early age, to hate "others". But "If they know Him, trust and obey Him, they learn to love -- none to waste". d. The Refrain. Offers the answer to the 3 scenarios: "He is the Reason, Christ the Lord!" 3. Overall. This new Christmas carol possesses two almost irresistible assets: a catchy melody, and a powerful message!
