The name "cururu" comes from the Tupi language in Brazil, where kuru'ru is the popular designation given to the big frogs of the Rhinella genus. Well-known as a children’s folksong, the "Sapo Cururu" theme was the inspiration for the
creation of this suite in 5 variations. The piece won the 1º Prize in the 1º National Composition Contest for Bands (Grade 3)
– Grade 3 held in the city of Tatuí, State of São Paulo (Brazil) through the brazilian program for bands "Coreto Paulista".

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
