Urban Beat werd geschreven in opdracht van 'Tokyo Wind Harmony Orchestra'. Het werk bevat twee delen. Het eerste deel, 'up-tempo' doet denken aan de snelweg. Het bevat solo's voor trompet en altsaxofoon (uitgeschreven, maar ook voor improvisatie). Het tweede deel is een popballade die begint met tenorsaxofoonsolo's die geleidelijk opwindend wordt. Hierna begint het eerste deel weer en gaat door tot het eind. De introductie van het stuk is geschreven in 5/4.

Urban Beat was commissioned by Tokyo Wind Harmony Orchestra. This work contains two parts.The first part is a fast tempo reminiscent of the urban highway, includes trumpet and alto saxophone solos (written but it's good for improvisation). The second part is a pop ballad that start with tenor saxophone's solo, and it gets excited gradually. After this, the first part appears again and head to the end. The introduction of this work is written in 5/4.

Urban Beat a été commandé par le Tokyo Wind Harmony Orchestra. Cette œuvre contient deux parties. La première partie est un tempo rapide rappelant celui de l’autoroute urbaine. Elle comprend des solos de trompette et de saxophone alto (écrits mais propices à l’improvisation). La deuxième partie est une ballade pop qui commence par le solo du saxophone ténor, puis s’excite progressivement. Après cela, la première partie réapparaît et va au bout. L'introduction de ce travail est écrite en 5/4.

Urban Beat wurde vom Tokyo Wind Harmony Orchestra arrangiert. Das Werk besteht aus zwei Teilen: Der erste Teil hat ein schnelles Tempo, das an den urbanen Highway erinnert, mit Trompeten- und Altsaxophonsoli (geschrieben, aber auch für die Improvisation). Der zweite Teil ist eine Pop-Ballade, die mit dem Solo des Tenorsaxophons beginnt und allmählich aufregend wird. Danach kehrt der erste Teil wieder zurück und führt zum Ende. Die Einführung dieses Werks ist in 5/4 geschrieben.
