SKU: ET.V113

Composed by Caroline Charriere. Contemporary. Choir score and instrumental parts. Editions BIM #V113. Published by Editions BIM (ET.V113).

ISBN 9790207003553.

This work for women choir (Soprani 1 and 2, Alti 1 and 2), flute and harp has two distinct movements:
Undine [Mermaid] (4’30) on a german text by poet Otto Baisch (1840-1892)
Ondine (4’) only on onomatopoeia “nou).

The undines, whose name derives from the Latin word unda [wave], are water nymphs in Germanic or Alsatian mythology.

All the delicat, sensitive but strong musical art of Caroline Charrière is synergised in these two highly poetic master pieces.
The very lyrical flute part requests an instrument in G (for two short sequences at the beginning of Undine, and in C (for the rest of the two mouvements).
The harp plays an essential role within the deep and dreamy dramaturgy of this work.
