Petite Waltz is a lyrical journey of interweaving melodies, twists and turns, and is around grade 4.
The second miniature (entitled Fairy echoes) is based largely on a call and response theme from the Flutes. They then duet magnificently in a charming flight of fantasy. Echos Féeriques is a little more challenging at around grade 6 or 7.
The two miniatures work perfectly well as stand alone pieces, or as a set, and would be a superb concert item. For added fun, the second miniatures may be performed on two piccolo's if wished.
