Amazing Grace & How can I keep from singing?

Two American Folk-Hymns arranged for clarinet quartet (or three clarinets and bass clarinet)Amazing Grace & How can I keep from singing?"Amazing Grace" is a Christian hymn, with the words written in 1772 by English Anglican clergyman and poet John Newton (1725–1807). It was never particularly popular in England, but after the American composer William Walker assigned Newton's words to a traditional song named "New Britain" in 1835 it became popular in the United States, where it is used for both religious and secular purposes, and now it is possibly the most sung and most recorded hymn in the world,."How Can I Keep From Singing?" is an American folksong also originating as a Christian hymn. The author of the lyrics was known only as 'Pauline T', and the original tune was composed by American Baptist minister Robert Lowry. The song is frequently, though erroneously, cited as a traditional Quaker or Shaker hymn. The original composition has now entered into the public domain, and appears in several hymnals and song collections, both in its original form and with a revised text that omits most of the explicitly Christian content and adds a verse about solidarity in the face of oppression.
