Tico-tico no fuba, by Zequinha de Abreu - flute duet Flute Duet - Digital Sheet Music

Tico-Tico no Fubá is a choro composed by Zequinha de Abreu. It was immortalized in the voice of Carmen Miranda, and over time became one of the best known Brazilian songs in the world. It was first performed at a ball in Santa Rita do Passa Quatro, in 1917, under the name Tico-Tico no Farelo. The song received its current name in 1931, since there was another song with the same title, composed by Canhoto. In the same year it was included for the first time on record, recorded by the Colbaz Orchestra. Although it is essentially instrumental, it has lyrics by Eurico Barreiros and Aloísio de Oliveira, as well as an English version by Ervin Drake. The present version was written for two flutes to perform the work simply and fantastically.
