The Verdict shows Otto Schwarz great skill at composing Concert Band items in his typical imaginative film musical style. It tells the tale of two brothers who differed greatly, one was handsome and the other a huntchback. The huntchback stabbed his brother after he had taken his bride from him and for this was sentenced to death. He was given a last minute reprise when he told of a spring that would end the local drought. An epic tale of love and revenge!

Il y a fort longtemps, dans le village de Peuerbach en Haute-Autriche, vivaient deux freres. L'un etait beau, l'autre etait bossu. Le bossu etait fiance, mais peu de temps avant son mariage, il s'en alla faire le tour du monde pour recouvrer des dettes. Deux ans plus tard, comme il n'etait toujours pas revenu, son frere courtisa la jeune fi ancee delaissee. Le drame commence alors a se nouer... La musique est intense et fascinante comme la legende que nous raconte Otto M. Schwarz.
Molto tempo fa, vivevano nel villaggio austriaco di Peuerbach, due fratelli. Uno era bello, mentre con l'altro la natura era stata molto meno generosa. Quest'ultimo era fidanzato, ma poco prima del matrimonio si vide costretto a partire per incassare somme importanti. Due anni piu tardi, non avendolo visto tornare, il fratello comincio a corteggiare la promessa sposa, iniziando cosi la trama di un dramma inevitabile....
