Since its first appearance on British TV screens in 2022, the BBC’s reality show The Traitors has gained a cult popularity.Based on the Dutch TV show The Verraders (Dutch: The Traitors), as well as games such as Mafia and Werewolf, the show sees contestants play a large-scale social deduction game to try and ‘banish’ the secret “Traitors” from the group- who in turn elect to murder one “faithful” player each night. As of January 2026, the show has seen 4 series produced, a ‘Celebrity’ spin-off, and even a special themed concert at the BBC Proms 2025. The finale of the Celebrity Traitors series in November 2025 saw over 15 million people tune in live, a remarkable achievement for live television in 2025. A second celebrity edition is planned for late 2026.______________This arrangement faithfully (no pun intended!) transcribes Sam Watts’ main theme for the show with an added Scottish flair to allude to the show’s setting in Ardross Castle, Scotland - and is suitable for all British-style brass bands Section 4 and above.
