The Mirrors (Revised) - Score Only Full Orchestra - Digital Sheet Music
The 1990’s saw several attempts to capture the success of 1989’s Batman with film adaptations of 1930’s comic book heroes including Dick Tracy, The Phantom and The Shadow. Whilst it wasn’t a commercial success, the production’s loyalty to the 1930’s setting and the legend of the original Orson Welles radio show from that era, not to mention some outstanding art direction and sound effects editing, have allowed The Shadow a limited cult following. Contributing to its mystique is a memorable and surprisingly accomplished score by Jerry Goldsmith that went largely unnoticed at the time due to the fact that the film competed against The Lion King in cinemas.“The Mirrors” underscores the final battle between Lamont Cranston (“The Shadow”) and the villain Shiwan Khan, and features some of the best action material written by composer Jerry Goldsmith.Created from the original manuscript, this release offers a rare opportunity to study film music in its authentic, original orchestration and arrangement. An opportunity not to be missed!
