The Lamb by Mark Hayes 4-Part - Sheet Music
By Mark HayesText and Music by Gerald Patrick Coleman arranged by Mark Hayes."Worthy is the Lamb whose death makes me his own! The Lamb is reigning on his throne!" This Hayes arrangement of Gerald Patrick Coleman's piece is a powerful picture of Jesus as the Lamb of God on the tune WINTER. The first of the five stanzas presents the lovely, simple melody sung in unison, and each of the ensuing stanzas builds on it by adding voices in varying settings. The fourth stanza is a cappella, providing the choir the opportunity to sing expressively and sensitively about Christ's sacrificial death. The arrangement then modulates up a step and adds a soprano descant for the triumphant fifth stanza that celebrates Christ's resurrection. Suitable for good youth choirs and any adult choir, this is a moving piece to add to your Easter repertoire.

This is one of the most beautiful arrangements I have ever heard and it has completely mesmerized by choir singers. It is a new melody to most of my church choir singers and yet we overwhelmingly have chosen it as our Easter Sermon song 2021. Choir directors, singers, people of faith... this arrangement is HIGHLY recommended. Kudos to Gerald Patrick Coleman and Mark Hayes for a new, instant classic hymn arrangement!
