Composed by Keith Gemmell. Instructional,Jazz,Standards. Score and parts. 13 pages. Keith Gemmell #42063. Published by Keith Gemmell (A0.852761).Jolly up your repertoire with this lively 1920s Charleston style piece for oboe and piano. It’s not too difficult to play (intermediate level) and at just over two minutes long makes for a snappy concert piece. It’s suitable, too, for educational use. Originally composed for production music, it’s been used many times for TV and other media. After the piano introduction the oboe plays the melody at ‘A’ along with the piano. After the first time through the piano returns to the intro at ‘B’ but this time with a few flourishes from the oboe. At ‘C’ the oboe departs from the main melody and plays a written solo before returning to the melody for the middle eight. That’s followed by more solo playing until the last few bars.
