Over the years, it has been performed in a number of different musical genres and contexts. It gained in popularity when it was adapted by Marvin Hamlisch in 1973 as the theme for the film ‘The Sting’.PERFORMANCE NOTES:1. This arrangement does not include all the original repeats. However, any repeats can be left to the discretion of Musical Directors or Band Leaders. 2. The arrangement is orthophonic without the optional Tenor Saxophone part.
