a 'must have'!
This book is so complete! I require my more advanced students to have one and we look at concepts andplay out of it each time they come to lessons. It's a must-have resource for teachers! It covers just about everything basic to scales, arpeggios, primary chords, inversions, cadences, and more. Love the format!

Helpful
This book is really easy to use and understand. I was after the basic scales and which fingers to use to practice after years (20) of not playing and it is perfect. It also has more than just the basics which will be very useful. Highly recommend it.

This is the best scale book!
I am so pleased with my purchase. This book includes everything you need for theory, and technique development. Warm up with some of these scales and then try to tackle that big piece you've been struggling with, and you will surely notice how easily your fingers just automatically go to the right place. This is a fantastic book for learning piano geography. Scales in parallel motion, contrary motion, separated by thirds, separated by sixths, scales in chords, and inversions. BUY IT NOW!

A Fascinating Book

Very Advanced
As an adult late learner I found the book to offer answers to questions I had not thought to ask.But if answers the purpose for which it was purchesed. I am using it in conjunction to a music theory text to advanced my learn rate.

good for older students
I was surprised to see so much bonus content (above the basic major scales), but due to all the extras, it IS a great reference, even for experienced or stuck players who needs new ideas. I think it is a little old for children and is better suited to older teens and adults. I'd like to see some simple songs in each key.
