Kansas Best of
A decent book if you're looking for an overall feel for Kansas guitar parts. This book is very odd in that several of the songs don't match the studio recordings from the original LP's and they must be taken from live recordings, yet nothing in the book including the copyrights suggest where they transcribed the songs from. Icarus, Journey From Mariabronn, Paradox, and Portrait are like that. There may be others. The tabbed solos for those songs aren't even close to whats on the recordings. Maybe they took them from Two for the Show album, but who knows? Also, keep in mind Jesse Gress was one of the main transcribers for this book and like all his tab books, he cuts corners and simplifies tabs (he was the guy that tabbed the Eric Clapton Unplugged HL book, which had only one guitar tabbed in almost every song...). Too bad this is the only option for Kansas tab books
