This is a classic text on the horn along with very informative explanations and musical examples. I have reviewed this book many times over the 40 years I have played horn. Perhaps I am a bit partial to this book as I was fortunate enough to have the grand old man himself, Philip Farkas, autograph my copy years ago..

My french horn teacher first introduced me to this book. It has so much information that is very important for new, and even some older, horn players to know! If you like this book you should also read Farkas' The Art of Musicianship!
