Published by Brendan McMullen (A0.1459453).Originally written for Sō Percussion, this quartet explores continuous rhythmic energy with periodic breaks into more free material. Much of the inspiration came from listening to Sō Percussion’s performances and working with the four amazing musicians who brought this piece to life. The tin cans are an homage to John Cage’s “Third Construction,” one of my all-time favorite pieces.
